Jeep just dropped another teaser about a Jeep Gladiator that has us drooling. A two-door Jeep Gladiator could be in the works. Some fans thought the Gladiator should be a two-door model when it returned in 2019, and their wish could come true.
Is the two-door Jeep Gladiator on the way?
Maybe, a two-door Jeep Gladiator could be traveling to Moab, Utah, for the Easter Jeep Safari. Jeep and Jeep Performance Parts have been preparing for the 56th annual off-roading event, which will take place April 9 – April 17.
Straight from Stellantis, we just got the fourth teaser about what’s coming to the event, and it looks like a Gladiator with a single door opening. In the image, it looks like the cab only has an A and B pillar. It could be a two-door Gladiator that shares a platform with the JL Wrangler.
Plus, the Stallantis asked if we’ve ever wondered what blending two incredible off-roaders like the Jeep Wrangler and Gladiator would look like. What if a truck dared to be more like an SUV with an enhanced departure angle?
Then they confirmed that the lasted Jeep concept heading to the Easter Jeep Safari reinvents what the ultimate terrain tackler dares to be, with an abundance of four-wheeling condense and a pinch of open-air freedom.
These clues suggest that a Wrangler and Gladiator are having a baby. Gosh, we really want to be its godparent.
What to expect with the two-door Gladiator
We will learn more about the two-door Jeep Gladiator in a few weeks when it arrives for the Easter Jeep Safari. Until then, we can speculate that the truck will have the same departure angles as the Wrangler. It should also be just as off-road capable.
Jeep has been slapping the 4xe badge everywhere, so it’s safe to expect a Gladiator 4xe to arrive soon. However, the teaser image is accented in a shade of orange, which is the Rubicon 392 color.
This could be a double-play because we’ve also seen teasers about the four-door Jeep Gladiator Rubicon 392 emerge. There are four concepts on the way, including what seems to be the Jeep Grand Cherokee 4xe, Gladiator Rubicon 392, and electric Jeep Wrangler.
Also, the Gladiator teaser seems to include high-rise fenders that pair with 35 to 37-inch tires. The hood is pretty unique and beefy, but it could be an after-market item that Jeep Performance parts offer.
How much does the two-door Jeep Gladiator cost?
The two-door Jeep Gladiator could start at around $29,995. That is the MSRP of the 2022 Jeep Wrangler. That would also make it a little cheaper than the 2022 Gladiator, which has an MSRP of $36,085.
That would be a lot more expensive than the Ford Maverick, but the two-door Gladiator will also be a lot more capable for off-roading. The smaller Gladiator could be better for off-roading than the four-door model because it wouldn’t be as wide, and it would have a shorter wheelbase.
Jeep releases concepts to see if fans like new ideas, so we hope the reveal of the two-door Gladiator is met with excitement. This would help it get into production faster. We can’t wait to learn more in just a few weeks.
