The install of the Tiger Shark Superwinch 9500 Synthetic Winch SR was extremely simple and only took 27 minutes to install (15 mins to bolt on, 5 mins to connect to battery, 7 minutes to spool the synthetic rope). The physical winch is a solid, extremely well built piece of machinery that brings a rugged, but functional look to the Jeep. SuperWinch moved the brake to the motor on the Tiger Shark Series so that they could defuse the heat source preventing the burning of the synthetic rope. That along with the billet aluminum the winch is a sweet addition to your Jeep. The power for the price along with easy replacement if the rope ever breaks, the ability not to cut up your hands versus the wire coil and it is lighter overall.
The only negative aspect of this MOD was towards the end of the spooling of the synthetic rope the additional cover over the rope got hung up a few times. It caused me to use 2 people to finish the spooling.
