The Smittybilt SRC classic with step offers a rugged, solid design that takes your Jeep to the next level by eliminating one of the key elements of the factory nerf bars. Smittybilt created the mold and many have attempted to duplicate, but have found the SRC CLASSIC WITH STEP snugs up nicely to the body of the Jeep and provides the necessary width for great stability when exiting and entering your Jeep.
There is nothing negative that we’ve found about the SRC CLASSIC WITH STEP, and don’t plan on making anything up.
OVERALL
Overall, the SRC CLASSIC WITH STEP is a great MOD. The install took about 1.5 hours and was done with one person. It would be easier to have a 2 person team working to install, but isn’t a must. You will want to have a handy rachet set with 3 different sizes necessary: 5/8 (main nuts from frame), 1/2 (disconnect brackets of existing nerf bars) and 3/8 (disconnect from body).
Therefore, if you are in the market for an upgraded side step, and something that brings form, function and feature together then the SRC CLASSIC WITH STEP is a no-brainer. For ~$330 you won’t be disappointed.
