This week Grec made a personal appearance at the Tuffy Security Products facility in Cortez, Colorado to share how the company’s JK Security Glove Box (#149), JK Rear Console (#274), JK Conceal Carry Driver’s Side Security Drawer (#247) as well as JK Conceal Carry Passenger’s Side Security Drawer (#293)) were vital installations in his “dream house on wheels” for a solo drive across the harsh terrain of 35 African countries.
Appearing at Tuffy headquarters on Wednesday, July 31, Grec presented the danger and drama of his adventure for Tuffy employees and celebrate the extreme toughness and reliability of the Jeep-specific security products the company supplied as a vehicle sponsor.
The Tuffy Security Rear Console for 2011 and newer JK’s provides 75% more secure storage than the plastic factory console. It has a special mounting bracket for mounting electronic equipment inside the lockable console and also has a handy removable utility tray.
JK Security Rear Console

It is an ideal upgrade for the plastic factory glove box for Jeep owners needing to keep small items safe. The Security Glove Box provides supreme theft protection with a patented Pry-Guard II locking system with a 1/4 inch steel latch that enables the door to be latched closed without locking. An anti-twist push button lock system, also patented, with a 10-tumbler double-bitted security key containing built-in weather seals keeps the contents of the Security Glove Box safe from the threat of theft.

Tuffy’s Driver and Passenger Side Security Drawers (#247 and #293), made of 16 gauge steel, mount under the JK’s front seats to give over 324 cubic inches of lockable storage space per box. The drawers are designed with an extending slide system to easily access the contents and no drilling is required.

In fact, after three years in Africa, not a single thing was stolen from my Jeep.”
