The Synergy Baja Basket in 2 boxes when shipped and is relatively heavy and bulky. After it arrived I was able to unbox it and determine that the quality of the basket was superior to the others that I had investigated, and knew right away this was not going to disappoint. The basket cargo has a area that measures 40 (L) x 24 (W) x 5 (D) for safe carrying.
Installing the Synergy Baja Basket was more involved than I would have liked it to be, but after about an 1.5 hours I was able to stand back and see the successful MOD install. Ideally, I would have and should have taken the hardtop off before installing, but wasn’t able to. I recommend that anyone that buys and attempts an install does move forward with removing the hardtop. Additionally, I would recommend having an extra set of hands or at least some additional boxes or even jack stands (that is what I used) to level the basket while installing.
The rollbar couplings are solid and extremely heavy duty. The only issue I had was around the rollbar cover and zipping it back up after making the necessary cuts to cover the couplings. I couldn’t get the cover to completely zip, therefore, I used some straps to secure the cover.
Overall, this basket is solid and can support a couple of small kids or up to 300 lbs. (although I don’t recommend placing kids or any person while driving). Another great aspect is that the Synergy Baja Basket sits flush, and I’ve certainly enjoyed having the upper and lower space to carry more cargo. If you are interested in creating some additional leveled space to care your off-roading equipment, plants, groceries, or whatever you need and want a solid solution then you should seriously consider this cargo basket.
