It’s official! As part of a series of investments at its assembly sites in Michigan, Fiat Chrysler Automobiles has confirmed a selection of new SUV models.
The automaker first confirmed that the iconic Jeep Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer were returning way back in 2011. Now, we have confirmation that these two models will be constructed at FCA’s Warren Truck assembly plant, re-tooled as part of a $1.5 billion investment at the site.
As the Wagoneer and Grand Wagoneer will be built at Warren Truck, they’re expected to be body-on-frame vehicles. Jeep has also confirmed that plug-in hybrid versions of both vehicles will be built and the automaker will even have the flexibility to build all-electric variants if it wants to.
Looking forward to more news coming out about the new Jeep Wagoneers!
