I was able to get around to the install and testing of the BoltLock J Mount for the Hi-Jack. This particular mod is for the passenger side and took about 15 minutes to install. After removing 2 of the windshield pillar lower screws, the J Mount attaches with the provided bolts.
The BoltLock itself is easy to “key” the lock to your own Jeep. All you have to do is insert your Jeep ignition key and turn it clockwise to “code” it to your specific key.
The mount itself is solid and easily installed, but definitely would suggest getting a Neoprene Jack Cover to reduce the amount of noise from the jack. If that doesn’t matter to you then you’re good to go.
Finally, a place to store my Hi-Lift Jack on Project JKU. As soon as it arrives, I will be sharing my thoughts around the BOLT J-Mount for the passenger side. When it is installed, I can feel confident that if I need to do anything that requires me to jack up my Jeep that I can easily reach and use my hi-jack.
