Barricade Adventure Door Kit Review

A large draw of owning a Jeep Wrangler is the personalization or customization that an owner can do. It is no wonder why there are hundreds of thousands of MODs out in the marketplace to do just that and difficult to choose from. However, I made an easy decision to install the Barricade Adventure Door Kit on our Project JKU build. The box arrived without any issues and I quickly began strategizing when and how I would install my newest MOD.

The Barricade brand produces some outstanding products and that includes these doors. I wanted something that was easy to install, provided security during family rides with the kids, and lastly offered up that “openness” that taking the factory doors off provides.

The install itself is a one hour or less task and was a little tricky at first. Since this was the 1st time I had removed my factory door it took a little “wiggling” to loosen the hinge pins, but once that was completed the doors came off easily once straps and wiring was disconnected. I do have AMP Research Power Steps, so I had to disconnect that first so that when the doors are off that the power steps stayed snug against the body of the Jeep.

The tube doors themselves were easily installed. A total of 3 bolts per door to tighten and we were ready to go… I would recommend getting some additional aftermarket mirrors if you’re used to looking in your side mirrors. If not, then you’re good to go have some fun!
